Buses at Malaga Airport
The Malaga Airport Bus is a cheap Transfer option if you are heading to and staying close to either Malaga or Marbella Bus Terminals.
If not then your journey could involve several changes. For example, to get to Nueva Andalucia, 1km from Puerto Banus, you will need to change Bus three times!
However, if you are staying close to the Bus Terminal in Marbella Town, there are direct Malaga Airport Buses that take 45 minutes and costs under 5 euros. At Malaga Airport pay the driver, at Marbella Bus Terminal you have to buy a ticket.
In summary, if time is tight do not rely on the bus system to get to the Airport in time. It would be advisable to get a taxi or read our section on choosing Private Malaga Airport Transfers.

Directions to finding the Bus stop at Malaga Airport
Exit the main arrivals hall via the right hand doors. Once outside, turn right and walk for approx 50 metres, along the side of Malaga Airport to the Bus Stop.

Malaga Airport Bus from Malaga to Marbella Bus Station
The Airport Bus goes directly from Malaga Airport to Marbella Bus Station via the Toll Road. The Cost is just 3.92? and takes 45 minutes.
Just today, I took someone to the bus station in Marbella to find out that the times have actually changed for September. So here are the times that are showing on the website today. It could be a good idea thought to call the bus station first before travelling.

Please note that the Malaga Airport Trains only travel as far as Fuengirola to the west, however there are plans for the train line to be extended to Marbella by 2010.
